Start with one rule
Create a private 4–8 digit PIN. Choose apps and a condition, save the rule, then read the in-app disclosure and enable Limiqo protection on Android's Accessibility page. These Android permission confirmations cannot be completed silently. Only request location when you want location rules.
Any condition or all conditions?
By default, any selected condition can trigger blocking. Turn on the ALL option if every selected condition must be true at the same time. A media-volume limit works whenever the selected app is on screen, independently of blocking conditions.
Network rules
Wi-Fi only blocks opening when Wi-Fi is unavailable, including offline. With Wi-Fi only off, mobile or metered connections trigger blocking; offline use remains allowed. This is not a firewall: another app may keep using data in the background after it leaves the screen.
Location rules
Choose coordinates or use your current location and select inside or outside. Use a radius of at least 150–200 metres. Read the location disclosure, allow precise location and, where offered, background access. Android and Google Play services must be available; transitions are not instant. An outside-area rule blocks when the area state is not yet known; an inside-area rule waits for a known inside result.
Pause without losing rules
Open Limiqo with your PIN and use the large pause button. Choose 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or an indefinite pause. Resume uses the same saved rules. Timed pauses resume automatically; screen-off power-saving can delay the alarm until Android can deliver it.
After restarting your phone
Android normally reconnects an enabled Accessibility service. Unlock the phone once for stored rules and location registration. Check protection status in Limiqo. Some manufacturers require an additional battery or startup setting; follow the actual settings on your device. Limiqo does not bypass Android consent or force itself to run permanently.
Volume and essential apps
The limit applies to the shared media stream, not a measured sound pressure or individual app mixer. If several selected apps are visible, the lowest enabled limit applies. Android volume changes may briefly exceed the limit before correction; this is not a hearing-safety guarantee. Calls and alarms are not intentionally adjusted. Essential system apps and the keyboard remain available. When no limited app remains visible, Limiqo restores the previous media level only if you have not lowered it yourself. Bluetooth routes and device volume steps can affect the displayed percentage.
Split screen and picture-in-picture
Limiqo uses Android's window regions to cover a blocked window while keeping the neighboring app, system controls and keyboard available. Some device software reports divider touch regions imprecisely, so check split-screen controls on your phone. Limiqo asks Android to close a blocked picture-in-picture window only when that window offers the standard close action. Some phone software does not offer it, so the touch-blocking mask remains. Hiding or covering a window does not stop all background audio or network activity.
